Welcome to Eruditora. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Dynovest Inc., the company that operates Eruditora ("Eruditora", "we", "us" or "our"). They cover your use of the Eruditora website, apps and services, including AI-generated courses, the course library, the AI tutor, quizzes, certificates and related features (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, our Acceptable Use Policy, our Cookie Policy and our Refund & Cancellation Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. About the Service

Eruditora helps you learn almost anything. You describe a goal, your available time and how you like to learn, and we use artificial intelligence to build a personalized, time-bound course with lessons, narration, exercises, quizzes and milestones. You can also take courses from our library, track your progress and ask an AI tutor questions.

The Service is for personal, non-commercial learning. If you want to use Eruditora for a team, school or business, please contact us.

2. Who can use Eruditora

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these Terms on your behalf. The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

You may not use the Service if we have previously suspended or terminated your account, or if doing so would break the law that applies to you.

3. Your account

  • Give us accurate information when you sign up, and keep it up to date.
  • Keep your password confidential. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us right away at support@eruditora.com if you think someone has accessed it without permission.
  • Accounts are personal. Do not share your account or let others use your subscription.
  • One free account per person. Creating several accounts to get additional free generations is not allowed.

4. Plans, payments and renewals

Plans. We offer a Free plan and paid subscription plans (currently Pro and Advanced). What each plan includes, such as course levels, the number of personalized course generations, AI tutor messages, certificates and Premium courses, is described on our Plans & pricing page. We may change plan features from time to time; if a change materially reduces what you have already paid for, we will tell you in advance.

Generation allowances. The Free plan includes one personalized course generation in total; it does not renew. Paid plans include a monthly number of generations that resets each month and does not carry over. A generation is counted only when a course is successfully created. Requests that we reject under our Acceptable Use Policy do not count.

Premium courses. Some courses in our library are marked Premium. They are available only on plans that include Premium courses, currently Advanced.

Billing. Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or annually, in US dollars, through our payment provider. Prices do not include taxes; applicable taxes are added at checkout. By subscribing, you authorize us and our payment provider to charge your payment method for each billing period until you cancel.

Automatic renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price unless you cancel before the renewal date. We will notify you before any price increase takes effect, and you can cancel before it applies to you.

Cancellation and refunds. You can cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you keep paid features until then. Refunds are handled under our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

Failed payments. If a payment fails, we may retry it, and we may downgrade your account to the Free plan until payment is made. Your courses and progress are kept.

5. AI-generated content

Eruditora uses artificial intelligence to create course content, images, narration, quiz questions and AI tutor answers. Content created this way is labeled as AI-generated or AI-curated in the Service. When you chat with the AI tutor, you are interacting with an AI system, not a person.

  • It can be wrong. AI can produce content that is inaccurate, incomplete, out of date or biased. Check important information against reliable sources before relying on it.
  • It is not professional advice. Content on Eruditora is for general educational purposes only. It is not medical, health, psychological, legal, financial, tax, safety or other professional advice. Always consult a qualified professional for advice about your situation.
  • Physical activities. Some courses involve physical activity, tools, equipment, food, chemicals or other risks (for example sports, music practice, cooking or crafts). Follow manufacturer instructions and safety guidance, know your limits, and stop if you feel pain or discomfort. You take part at your own risk.
  • Learning needs support. Features that adapt courses to learning preferences and learning needs are designed to make learning more comfortable. They are not a diagnosis, therapy or a medical or educational assessment.
  • Images and media. Images may come from AI generation or from third-party libraries such as Wikimedia Commons and Pexels, shown with their credit and license where required.

6. Certificates

On eligible plans, you can earn a certificate of completion when you pass a course's final exam. Certificates confirm that you completed an Eruditora course. They are not academic credits, degrees, professional licenses or accredited qualifications, and you must not present them as such. We may revoke a certificate obtained through cheating or misuse.

7. Your content and the courses we create

Your inputs. "Your Content" means what you submit to the Service, such as learning goals, preferences, quiz answers, AI tutor messages and messages to us. You keep any rights you have in Your Content. You grant Eruditora a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, reproduce and adapt Your Content as needed to operate, provide, secure and improve the Service, including sending it to our AI and other service providers as described in our Privacy Policy.

Generated courses. Courses, lessons, quizzes, images, narration and other materials produced by the Service ("Generated Courses") are owned by Eruditora, to the extent they are protected by intellectual property rights. We grant you a personal, non-transferable license to use Generated Courses for your own learning while you have an account.

Shared library. To make Eruditora better and more affordable for everyone, we may add Generated Courses to our course library, and offer the same or a similar course to other learners who ask for something similar. When we do, we do not include your name, your account details, your learning needs or other personal information. Your own progress, quiz results and tutor conversations are never shared with other learners.

Feedback. If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them without any obligation to you.

8. Our intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, text, graphics, logos, the Eruditora name and our course library, is owned by Eruditora or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. Except for the rights we expressly give you in these Terms, we do not grant you any rights in the Service. You may not copy, sell, republish, scrape or create derivative works from the Service or its content, except as allowed by law or with our written permission.

9. Acceptable use

You agree to follow our Acceptable Use Policy. In short: use Eruditora lawfully and respectfully, do not request harmful or illegal content, do not misuse the AI or try to get around plan limits, and do not interfere with the Service or other users. We may reject requests, limit features or suspend accounts that break these rules.

10. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party providers, for example for hosting, AI models, narration, images, email and payments, and may link to third-party websites or content. We are not responsible for third-party services or content that we do not control, and your use of them may be subject to their own terms.

11. Changes and availability

We are continually improving Eruditora and may add, change or remove features. We aim to keep the Service available, but it may sometimes be interrupted for maintenance, updates or reasons beyond our control. We do not guarantee that the Service will always be available or error-free.

12. Suspension and termination

You can stop using the Service and close your account at any time by contacting us at support@eruditora.com (self-service account deletion is coming soon).

We may suspend or terminate your access, with notice where reasonable, if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms, if we must do so by law, or if your use creates risk or harm for Eruditora, other users or third parties. If we terminate a paid subscription without cause, we will refund the unused portion of your prepaid fees. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability and governing law) will survive.

13. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service and all content are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not promise that you will achieve any particular learning outcome. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so some of these may not apply to you.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Eruditora and its directors, employees and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill or opportunity, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) US$100.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, and nothing affects your rights as a consumer under mandatory laws where you live.

15. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold Eruditora harmless from claims, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or misuse of the Service.

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before starting a formal dispute, please contact us so we can try to resolve it informally. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be heard by the courts located in Toronto, Ontario, unless the mandatory consumer protection laws of your place of residence give you the right to bring a claim in your local courts or under your local law.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or in the Service before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after the changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you can cancel your subscription and stop using the Service.

18. General

These Terms, together with the policies they refer to, are the entire agreement between you and Eruditora about the Service. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent; we may transfer ours in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. If these Terms are translated, the English version prevails to the extent permitted by law.
